AENZ Strengthens Commitment to Supply Chain Decarbonization, Opening Doors for Clean Energy Investments
Pasig City – As businesses worldwide shift toward sustainability, AENZ is leading the charge in the Philippines by accelerating supply chain decarbonization. A recent In-Person Training on Decarbonization on February 13, hosted in collaboration with the European, French, and Dutch Chambers of Commerce, brought together over 70 industry representatives eager to take meaningful action toward reducing carbon emissions.
The session attracted key stakeholders, including representatives from textile, food, and beverage manufacturers, banks, industry chambers, and members of the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP). Participants discussed how decarbonization is not merely a regulatory requirement but a key driver of business competitiveness and investment readiness.
“The energy in the room was inspiring—it’s clear that businesses are eager to take action but need the right tools and support to move forward,” said Marlon Apanada, Founding Director of AENZ.
Equipping Businesses with Decarbonization Strategies
The training featured real-world case studies from Philippine companies that are already making strides to reduce their carbon footprint. Participants also explored the broader economic risks posed by climate change and their direct impact on supply chains. The hands-on greenhouse gases (GHG) accounting workshop provided businesses with practical knowledge on measuring and managing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, a critical step in achieving sustainability goals.
The event’s strong engagement underscored a rising demand for more industry-specific training. Several organizations, including the European Chamber of Commerce, the Philippine Retailers Association, Accenture, and the Board of Investments, have already expressed interest in hosting additional sessions. Banks, in particular, are eager to understand their role in supporting value chain decarbonization better and developing pipelines for sustainable finance projects in the country.
With an increasing demand for industry-specific training and decarbonization solutions, AENZ is scaling up its efforts to bridge the gap between businesses’ sustainability targets and actions.
